Liz Burgess Counselling

"Out of every crisis or challenge, something new is seeking to emerge that will lead us onto the path of growth and transformation"

Throughout our lifetime we all experience varying degrees of stress and anxiety. Some episodes are short and acute while others last a little longer. In today's fast paced world, there are many of us who struggle to cope with the demands of daily life and often we can feel overwhelmed and unsupported.

I am a fully qualified Counsellor (MBACP accred) and I cover a wide range of issues on a 1 to 1 basis. I lecture in Counselling at Buxton University and work on a voluntary basis at East Cheshire Hospice in Macclesfield. Prior to my counsellor training I worked in personal development and self confidence building.

I work in Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Poynton, Cheadle, Altrincham Bramhall, Stockport, Macclesfield, Leek, Buxton.

Whatever it is you are facing I can offer professional emotional support and can help you through difficult times.

My teaching involves training students at all levels to become Psychodynamic Counsellor's. Including:

  • Counselling Skills Award
  • Counselling Skills Certificate
  • Diploma in Counselling

The courses I teach range from a ten week introductory course to the two year diploma.

the aim of psychodynamic therapy is to bring the unconscious mind into consciousness – helping individuals to unravel, experience and understand their true, deep-rooted feelings in order to resolve them.
every human being has a vast potential for personal growth - a natural tendency to synthesise all aspects of their being to become the fullest realisation of themselves.
